You may know it as 5on5

Offensive and defensive line.

For boys in grades 3 to 12 who play up front, on either side of the ball. You may know it as 5on5.

Line play is technique, physicality and mindset, and we coach all three. Athletes work hands-on with coaches who played the position in college and the pros, then compete against each other.

They leave with the confidence, toughness and discipline to play at a higher level and to be the difference for their team.

What your athlete gets

What they work on

Won in the trenches, one detail at a time.

The work up front is specific. This is what gets coached, rep after rep.

Everyone starts together.

Every session opens with all ages on the turf at once. A 4th grader lines up next to a senior, and the older players set the standard and look after the younger ones. Then athletes split into groups by age for coaching and competition.

  1. Stance and first step

A balanced stance and an explosive first step. Most plays are decided right there.

  2. Leverage

Pad level and body position. The low man wins.

  3. Hand placement

Where the hands go, when they strike and how to keep them inside.

  4. Run blocking

Footwork, fits and finish, from the drive block to the double team.

  5. Pass protection

Sets, punch and anchor, so the quarterback stays clean.

  6. Defensive line technique

Get-off, hand moves and getting off blocks to the ball.

Parents ask us

What is 5on5?

Five linemen against five linemen. It's the way linemen compete in the off-season, the same way skill players have 7on7.

My athlete is new to the line. Is that okay?

Yes. Coaches start with stance and footwork and build from there.

Does my athlete have to try out?

No. When they want in, they're in.
